Introducing a Noble Assyrian: Dr. Edison Ishaya

Dr. Edison Ishaya is the former president of the Assyrian Academic Society. He was born in Urmi, Iran. He immigrated to the United States in 1986. He received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Dental Surgery from University of Illinois in Chicago in 1994. Dr. Edision Ishaya and his wife Dr. Nagham Brikha have been among many people who took part in financial support of the Mesopotamian Night project of the Assyrian Aid Society Central Valley Chapter in the past three years. They have supported many other Assyrian educational and cultural projects of different Assyrian organizations.

Dr. Ishaya currently is practicing dentistry in Chicago and is a board member CASCA (Chaldean Assyrian Syriac Council of America).

Dr. Ishaya is a major sponsor of Mesopotamian Night 2009 project. He paid for the music commission work on Assyryt (The Symphonic Suite Assyria) as well as part of the symphony orchestra production cost. He is a member of our honorary committee for Mesopotamian Night 2009 project.
